Forum rules
Cite a standard
Every new topic and every reply must cite at least one applicable standard or recommended practice, for example API RP 686 or ISO 20816-1. Add the clause or table where you can. Use Other for a standard not in the list. If no standard applies, select N/A and explain the technical basis, such as an OEM document, measured data or field experience.
Choose the equipment
Before starting a topic, tick the equipment or subject it concerns. The topic is filed in the matching Discussion Forums, so it reaches the right people.
Language
Write in international English, in a professional and respectful tone. Use SI units, with customary units in brackets where helpful. No offensive, personal or political content.
Moderation and fact-checking
Posts are moderated and may be checked against the standards they cite. Unsupported claims, off-topic discussions and promotion are removed. State clearly what comes from a standard, an OEM document or your own field experience.
Not allowed
Job adverts and recruitment posts, commercial promotion, and confidential client, project or OEM documents. Do not post copyrighted standard text beyond short quotations.
Purpose
A collaborative place where professionals share experience and help each other grow. Content is shared for discussion only and does not replace the standards, OEM instructions or project specifications.
